IFOMIS in the ACGT Project

Advancing Clinico-Genomic Trials on Cancer (ACGT) is an EU-funded ‘Integrated Project’. ACGT develops a bio-medical GRID infrastructure supporting seamless mediation services for sharing clinical and genomic expertise. Such interactions will allow joint clinico-genomic trials and help finding quicker and efficient routes to identifying patients’ individual characteristics that make one treatment more appropriate than another. The semantic integration of the data will be provided by a mediator which is based on the ACGT Master Ontology (ACGT MO).

IFOMIS, as member of the Saarland University, is responsibly for the development of the ACGT MO. In this effort we collaborate with partners from Germany, Greece and Spain.
